Yoga Workshop

- An Afternoon of Yoga with Gabby Samskara A 2 hour workshop including yoga, breath work, yoga nidra and a women's circle to finish. Samskara, a Sanskrit word referring to the impressions on the mind or body from past experiences. We will slow down to allow us to notice old patterns held in our body that cause us aches and pains that restrict us in some way. Maybe mentally, maybe physically, maybe the restrictions are in your breath. We will move towards releasing some of these Samskaras- these habits held so long and so ingrained in our bodies to find subtle new ways of moving, of feeling, of being. Finding alternative ways using our intuition we will find what needs to shift, what can be released. Before setting an intension for the change of the season.

Women’s Woodland Retreat Day

- @Tortworth Forest Centre, Bristol, GL12 8HH
- Ease into the day with a gentle flow yoga, all out in the open fresh air. (There is a covered space if it rains). This will be accessible to all levels and requires no experience. Following some simple breathwork to connect our bodies to the environment around us, you will be guided through some invitations to deepen your connection to nature: Forest Bathing. We will focus on using all 5 (/6) of our senses, helping you to unwind, slow down and connect with the woods. We'll then stop for lunch (bring your own). This break will be followed by a couple of hours of playful printing. Sophie will demonstrate her low tech print process and you will have time to cut stencils / shapes, mix colours and roll to build up a multi layered print(s) inspired by your morning in the woods. We'll finish up with a tea and snack around the fire before heading home at 4.
