A Return to Nature, Throughout the Year
At Back to the Woods, our retreats are an invitation to step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect, with nature, with the seasons, and with yourself.
Held in beautiful woodland settings, our retreats follow the natural rhythm of the year, offering space to pause, reflect and reset as the seasons change. Each gathering is thoughtfully designed to support rest, clarity and gentle transformation, guided by the grounding presence of the woods.
Across the year, our retreats may include a blend of nature-based practices such as mindful walking, forest bathing, seasonal reflection, gentle movement, creative expression and quiet moments of stillness. There is no pressure to be or do anything, simply time and space to slow down and listen.
Whether you join us at a turning point in the seasons or during a moment of personal transition, these retreats offer a nurturing environment to reconnect with what matters most. Come for a day, or longer, and leave feeling more rooted, restored and inspired by the natural world.

Spring Equinox
Celebrate the Spring Equinox with a peaceful women’s day out in the beautiful woods!
Arrive at 9.30am to settle in with a hot tea and welcome circle. Followed by:
- Embodied Yoga Flow, all out in the open fresh air. (There is a covered space if it rains). This will be accessible to all levels and requires no experience.
- Guided Forest Bathing through the woods. Following some simple breathwork to connect our bodies to the environment around us, you will be guided through some invitations to deepen your connection to nature. We will focus on using all 5 (/6) of our senses, helping you to unwind, slow down and connect with the woods.
- We break for our packed lunch.
- Creative playful print session inspired by your morning in the woods. Read more on the process here.
- Group circle and connection time
- Facilitated by artist and creative practitioner Sophie Rae @sophierae_prints and Yoga/Forest Bathing Guide Gabrielle Coope @_backtothewoods_
